To ensure that the accuracy of your hardness testing equipment is maintained within the manufacturer's stated tolerances, it is important to perform periodic calibration. As a hardness tester measures the relative resistance of materials to denting, bending, or scratching, it can become misaligned over time, requiring calibration and adjustment to restore its reliability.
Zhejiang Guojian Testing Technology Co., Ltd (CCT) Metrology, located in China and a division of Zhejiang Guojian Testing Technology Co., Ltd (CCT), provides a comprehensive range of services for your hardness testing equipment. We offer on-site calibration services for business customers located within a 100-mile radius of Zhejiang Guojian Testing Technology Co., Ltd (CCT), helping to ensure that your equipment is performing optimally and delivering accurate results.
At Zhejiang Guojian Testing Technology Co., Ltd (CCT) Metrology, our highly skilled technicians are capable of calibrating a variety of hardness testers, including micro-hardness, Vickers, Knoop, and Rockwell, in accordance with the relevant ASTM standards. We offer calibration services for Rockwell hardness testers on C, B, A, and E scales, as well as for Superficial Rockwell hardness testers on 15, 30, and 45 N&T scales. During the calibration process, our technicians will determine the accuracy of the tester and make any necessary adjustments to bring it within the manufacturer's stated tolerances. Additionally, we offer preventative maintenance and repair services that can be performed concurrently with calibration. If needed, we can also assist you in purchasing new indenters, blocks, or hardness testers from our suppliers. Following calibration, you will receive a Certificate of Calibration containing all relevant information about the instrument and services performed.
Calibration services, including preventative maintenance and repairs, are provided for the following hardness tester models and scales:
· Rockwell scales C, B, A and E
· Superficial Rockwell to 15, 30, 45 N&T Scales
· Vickers & Knoop
· Brinell
· Micro-hardness testers

Before the calibration of the hardness tester, the machine undergoes a thorough inspection for any chips, breaks, or cracks and is leveled to ensure accuracy. The calibration process includes checking the condition of the anvil and indenter, followed by conducting five hardness tests on three certified hardness test blocks that represent the high, middle, and low ranges on all verified scales. If the readings fall within the stated tolerances, the machine is considered certifiable. If not, adjustments will be made to correct the machine. This comprehensive verification process considers and combines all variables that contribute to the actual hardness number, just as in real-world testing.
We offer a range of field calibration services, including the calibration of masters, measuring hand tools, and other equipment that may not be practical to ship for servicing. Our team of field calibration specialists can help you optimize your time and budget by performing services for all your instruments and equipment during a single visit.
