ROHS COMPLIANCE TESTING

MEETING THE DIRECTIVE’S REQUIREMENTS

In order to comply with the RoHS Directive, which restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, most manufacturers, distributors, sellers and recyclers of such components or equipment sold or used in the European Union have adopted RoHS Compliance Testing as a standard practice.

ROHS TESTING AT Zhejiang Guojian Testing Technology Co., Ltd (CCT)

To help customers ensure their compliance with the RoHS Directive, Zhejiang Guojian Testing Technology Co., Ltd (CCT) offers quick and reliable testing services for restricted substances in component materials. We can test for lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, and total bromine content. The maximum concentration values for these substances are set at 0.1%, except for cadmium, which has a limit of 0.01%. Our RoHS testing lab employs spectroscopy and wet chemistry methods to determine the concentrations of these restricted substances in test samples, and all results are fully documented in Certified Test Reports for our customers' records.

ABOUT THE ROHS DIRECTIVE

To safeguard human health and the environment from hazardous substances, the European Union implemented the Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive, or RoHS Directive, on July 1, 2006. The Directive restricts the use of six hazardous chemicals in electrical and electronic products, including:

· Lead (Pb)

· Mercury (Hg)

· Cadmium (Cd)

· Hexavalent Chromium (Cr(VI))

· Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB)

· Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)

ROHS DIRECTIVE UPDATE

The RoHS recast directive RoHS2, which came into effect in July 2011, provides exemptions for certain materials and products from the requirements outlined in the original Directive. It also includes additional restrictions that took effect on December 31, 2011.

Zhejiang Guojian Testing Technology Co., Ltd (CCT)  CAPABILITIES
